Yellow Ford Fairmont

This image is from a gleaming photo of a yellow Fairmont on a happy sunny day. Someone crouched down to get this angle. Note the tag is tilted. Yellows and violets work well together.

Grey Chevy White Fender

From a bad pixelated photo probably taken with a cell phone.

Ratty Convertible

I had thought this painting was going to go in the trash bin. Maybe it saved itself in the end.

Mustang No Fender

I like this one the best. Not finished but not overworked.

Impala

Ratty Car

I am painting pictures of cars with rotten headliners.

glazed donut

This feels so much better. What a relief. Took about an hour as opposed to five hours I spent on the last painting.

chocolate frosted

In my mind this is an eye-sore. It only begins to look good to me from about fifteen feet away. I think I lost the drawing and was seduced by the blending. Spent too much time and was painful to make. I can't stop myself from finishing what I think are bad paintings.

maple frosted

I couldn't quite get the maple color right. I might try again.

thick paint

Maybe this lemon has some substance.

Crisp Lemon

Looking up close gives me a little hope.

I've been thinking about pushing paint into wet paint rather than laying it on top. I can redraw as I go. I'd rather let the image emerge on it's own. I don't really want to force it. I don't even want to think about what I'm doing. Just paint and see what happens.

Big Lemon

There's nothing elaborate here. I just want this lemon to be a lemon without trying too hard to turn it into a lemon. Next time I might make a cruder attempt. The background is a little cold.
